Though intended to some extent to be a light-hearted look at information, anecdotes and photographs of our family, this website will also be a vehicle for collecting as accurate a Family History as is possible.

As anyone will know who has tried to trace their Family History, this is not something accomplished overnight, It's a journey I expect will take several years and many wrong turnings to complete.

In truth I may NEVER complete it. I have no pre-fixed expectations of what I will find, along the way there will be good times and bad times, people we will be proud of and perhaps people we may not, such is life and families. What is important is I record the truth!

I do expect though to find many interesting people -  probably spread all over the world -  who left an indelible mark on our family's History.

Within the pages that follow you will find information and pictures about an ordinary family, from an ordinary town in the North-West of England.

Please take a look around, hopefully you will find something to make you smile, something that brings back memories, perhaps something you can get involved in.
